Travel Information

for visitors to Belhaven

From Belhaven, Edinburgh is a 40 minute drive westwards and Berwick-upon-Tweed a similar journey southwards. By train, either is a 25 minute journey from Dunbar station.

Bus journeys take longer, calling at Haddington in East Lothian, or Eyemouth in Berwickshire. Curiously, North Berwick is a town to the north of Dunbar, about 40 miles away from Berwick.

Edinburgh Airport (Turnhouse) is about 50 minutes driving, or get an airport bus from Edinburgh.
Ferries from Europe dock at Rosyth (beyond Edinburgh), Newcastle (south of Berwick-on-Tweed) and Hull (further south):
Newcastle Ferry - 2 hours drive to/from Belhaven
Hull Ferry - 4 hours
Rosyth Ferry - 1 hour
